DEMI Capsule: Privacy Notice

1. What DEMI Capsule does
DEMI Capsule records a fingerprint (SHA-256) of a file and the time it existed, anchored on the Ethereum blockchain. It also stores a short description of the work, its Conceptual Core.

2. Your file stays with you
Your file is fingerprinted in your own browser. The file itself is not uploaded to or kept by DEMI. Keep your original file: only an identical copy will match its record.

3. What we collect when you register

  • The file's fingerprint, its title, its Kind, its Parent code (if any) and the passage you write

  • The name you choose to show as author or registrant

  • If you pay by card, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, which collects your email address for the receipt. We do not see or store your card number.

  • Any email address you give us is used only to send your registration details and to answer your questions.

4. What is public

  • Listed records show the code, title, author name, fingerprint, time, Conceptual Core and Parent.

  • Sealed records show only the code, fingerprint and time.

  • Email addresses and owner keys are never shown publicly.

5. What cannot be removed
The Ethereum anchor is permanent and public. We can hide a record from the DEMI listing, but the fingerprint and time on the blockchain cannot be deleted. Please don't put personal or confidential information in your title or passage.

6. The DEMI Capsule plugin for Claude and ChatGPT
The plugin stores no data. Its read-only connection to the DEMI Registry sends only registry codes, SHA-256 fingerprints and search queries, never your files. It runs inside your AI assistant, under that assistant’s privacy terms.

7. Where data is held
Registry records are held on Cloudflare servers, which may be outside Australia. This website is hosted by Squarespace. We use no analytics or advertising cookies; Squarespace may set only the cookies needed to run the site.

8. How long we keep it
We keep registry records for as long as the Registry operates, because a record's purpose is to stay checkable. We keep email addresses only as long as needed for registration and support.

9. Your choices

UplitAU treats all registrations alike and does not contact registrants about the content of their work.
You can ask us to:

  • access or correct the personal information we hold about you

  • hide a listed record

10. What a record proves
A record shows only that a file existed, byte for byte, by a certain time. It does not prove authorship, ownership or any legal right.
