DEMI Capsule-safety
Keeping your files, keys and links safe
A DEMI registration proves that your file existed, byte for byte, by a certain time. That proof is only useful if you still have the file. This page says what to keep, where to keep it, and what to do if something is lost.
1. What you receive when you register
| Item | What it is | Secret? |
|---|---|---|
| Registry code (UPL-…) | The address of your record. Anyone can look it up. | No — share freely |
| Owner key | Shown once. Lets you hide or show your record later. | Yes — keep private |
| Certificate | Your proof page: fingerprint, time, Ethereum anchor. | No |
| Saved package | One file with everything about the registration. | Only if you included your owner key |
| AI package | Instructions for Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant. | No |
| Payment reference | Your card order or receipt. | Keep it — needed for recovery |
2. What to keep, and where
| Keep | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your original file (most important) | At least two places: your computer and a USB drive or cloud folder | The record proves nothing without the exact file |
| Registry code | Anywhere: notes, email, the file name | It finds the record again |
| Owner key | A password manager (for example KeePass, 1Password, Bitwarden) | Chats, email and messengers are not safe places for keys |
| Saved package (without key) | Next to the original file | Everything in one place |
| Payment reference | With the saved package | Needed if you ever lose the owner key |
3. Five rules
- Never edit or re-save the registered file. Opening and saving it in Word or Excel changes its fingerprint. Make a copy for further work.
- Make the file final before you register. Your passage and the file should say the same thing.
- Keep the owner key out of chats, email, messengers and shared documents.
- Nobody from DEMI, and no AI assistant, will ever ask for your owner key, wallet key, password or card details. If someone does, it is not us.
- Register each new version as a new stage, with the earlier code as its Parent. Never try to “update” an old registration.
4. Before you press Register
- The file is the final version and has not been opened and re-saved since.
- The fingerprint shown on the page matches the file you meant (check the first and last few characters).
- The “other files” box contains only the files you want — clear anything left from an earlier registration.
- The Parent code is correct, if this is a later stage.
- Save the owner key immediately when it is shown.
5. My records — your own table
You can keep all your registrations in one private table, with a note on where each file is kept. Create a My records key on the My records page, store it in your password manager, and add each new registration with the box at the bottom of the DEMI Capsule page.
- Write location notes as if anyone could read them: folders, chat names and dates are fine; keys and passwords never.
- A read-only table link shows your table and nothing else. If it is ever shared by mistake, make a new link — the old one stops working at once.
6. Working with an AI assistant
Give Claude or ChatGPT the AI package sentence from your result screen and, when it asks, the original file. It checks the fingerprint before helping. Never give an assistant your owner key: it does not need it. An assistant cannot register, pay or change records.
7. If something is lost
| Lost | What to do |
|---|---|
| Registry code | Find the record by choosing your file on the Find a record page of the DEMI Registry — the file is fingerprinted in your browser and never uploaded. |
| Owner key | Not urgent: it only controls visibility. Write to us with the original file’s fingerprint and your payment reference. |
| Saved package or certificate | Open the certificate link again — it is rebuilt from the record each time. |
| Original file | This is the real loss. Check every copy (computer, USB, cloud, email attachments, messenger files). The fingerprint tells you which copy is the registered one. |
