What DEMI Lens Does

DEMI Lens is a Direction B tool in the DEMI publishing framework.

It reads any published web page — a Landing Page, article, research page, or project description — and reconstructs its Conceptual Core: the structured five-section analysis that defines what the work is, what it claims, how it operates, and what it is not.

It then produces a Validation Report and a Registry Record in JSON ready for submission to the UplitPublishing Registry.

Who Should Use DEMI Lens

User Purpose
Author Verify that a published page still reflects the original intent of the work
Publisher Audit metadata consistency across a catalogue of published works
Researcher Reconstruct the conceptual structure of any archived or published page
Developer Test whether a Landing Page carries correct DEMI metadata before Registry submission
Editor Check whether a page needs updating after the underlying concept has changed

What You Need Before You Start

  • The URL of the page you want to analyse or the full visible text of that page
  • Access to the DEMI Lens interface at ramsmile.com/new-page-demilens
  • No account required
  • No login required
  • An API key is embedded — the interface works immediately

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 — Open DEMI Lens

Go to ramsmile.com/new-page-demilens

The interface loads automatically. You will see the URL input field and the 🔍 Analyse Page button.

Step 2 — Enter the URL (Preferred Method)

Paste the full URL of the page you want to analyse into the Landing Page URL field.

Example:

Click 🔍 Analyse Page.

DEMI Lens will attempt to fetch the page automatically. This takes approximately 10–20 seconds.

Step 3 — If the URL Cannot Be Fetched (Paste Method)

Some pages cannot be fetched automatically due to network restrictions. If you see the message:

"Could not fetch the URL automatically. Please use 📋 Paste text instead."

Do the following:

  1. Open the target page in a new browser tab
  2. Select all text on the page — Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) or on iPad: press and hold → Select All
  3. Copy — Ctrl+C / Cmd+C
  4. Return to DEMI Lens
  5. Click 📋 Paste text instead
  6. Paste into the text area that appears
  7. Click 🔍 Analyse Pasted Text

Note: Password-protected pages must always use the paste method. Open the page while logged in, copy the text, then paste into DEMI Lens.

Step 4 — Read the Results

DEMI Lens produces seven colour-coded sections:

Section Colour Content
📋 Metadata Extracted Deep purple DEMI metadata tags found on the page
💡 Core Statement Purple The shortest publishable explanation of the work
📌 Propositions Blue Claims tagged [VERIFIED], [IMPLIED], or [SPECULATIVE]
🔒 Constraints Green Conditions required for internal validity
⚙️ Mechanisms Gold Processes and workflows described on the page
🚫 Boundaries Red What the work explicitly is not
✅ Validation Report Dark blue Overall assessment with VALID / PARTIAL / INVALID status

At the bottom, a Registry Record in JSON appears — a structured metadata object ready to copy and submit to the UplitPublishing Registry.

Step 5 — Use the Results

If the Validation Report shows VALID: The page accurately reflects a complete Conceptual Core. The JSON Registry Record is ready to submit to uplitpublisher.com.au.

If the Validation Report shows PARTIAL: Some sections of the Conceptual Core are present but incomplete. Review the missing sections and consider updating the Landing Page.

If the Validation Report shows INVALID: The page does not carry sufficient structured content for reconstruction. Consider rebuilding the page using the DEMI Code Generator (Direction A) to produce a properly structured Landing Page.

Step 6 — Copy the Registry Record

The JSON block at the bottom of the results contains:

{
  "activation_reference": "",
  "title": "",
  "operator": "",
  "platform": "",
  "category": "",
  "date": "",
  "core_statement": "",
  "validation_status": "VALID | PARTIAL | INVALID",
  "notes": ""
}

Copy this block and submit it to uplitpublisher.com.au to create a permanent Registry Record for the work.

Step 7 — Start Over

Click ↺ Start Over or ↺ Analyse Another Page at any time to return to the input screen and analyse a different page.

Text Limits

DEMI Lens analyses up to 12,000 characters of page content (approximately 2,000–3,000 words) per session.

If the page is longer, the content is automatically truncated and a notice is shown. The most important content — headings, metadata tags, and opening paragraphs — is prioritised.

For very long pages, paste only the most relevant sections.

Using Your Own API Key (Optional)

DEMI Lens has an embedded API key for standard use.

If you prefer to use your own Anthropic API key:

  1. Click ⚙ Use Own API Key (top right of the interface)
  2. Paste your key (format: sk-ant-...)
  3. Your key is used only for this session
  4. It disappears automatically when you close the tab
  5. It is never stored or transmitted beyond the API call

What DEMI Lens Does Not Do

  • Does not verify ownership or authorship
  • Does not confer publication approval or legal registration
  • Does not replace human editorial review
  • Does not claim registry authority
  • Does not store any data between sessions
  • Does not work on pages requiring JavaScript rendering (some single-page applications may not produce usable text)

Human oversight is mandatory. All results should be reviewed by a human editor before Registry submission.

For Publishers — Integration with UplitPublishing Registry

DEMI Lens is designed to feed directly into the UplitPublishing Registry workflow:

Author submits Landing Page URL

DEMI Lens reconstructs Conceptual Core

Validation Report produced

↓ JSON Registry Record copied

↓ Submitted to uplitpublisher.com.au

↓ Registry Record ID assigned

↓ Work becomes searchable in the Registry
